Today we visited a school in the Valencian Community for the first time; in this case it was the Ausias March school in Picaña, a municipality located in La Huerta, west of Valencia. The Broccolin Project has passed through the four classes in primary 3 and primary 4.
We have visited the students in the First Cycle of CEIP Ricardo Campillo to present the Broccolin Project. Through our Broccolin mascot, we have made one of the healthiest vegetables you can find in our supermarkets known among the youngest and thus encouraging healthy eating habits.
In late 2013 we created the Broccolin Project, with the slogan “we are what we eat.” This is an activity that seeks to educate children about the importance of a healthy diet, because our goal is to promote healthy eating and increase the consumption of vegetables among the younger members of the family, pregnant women and the entire family in general.
The Project Broccolin bases in realizing activities with children to make aware them of the importance of a good feeding. For it we begin realizing chats in diverse schools of Murcia and Valencia. Using to the pet Broccolin like protagonist, we realize different activities adapted to children from 5 to 8 years, like account stories, drawing and painting …
After several months of work, the story finally comes into the light: The Adventures of Broccolin, a story aimed at younger members of the family.
The theme of this story focuses on a school in the vegetable world, where we can find to pupils as Meloncito, Tomatin, Broccolin, or even a little cabbage. In a way entertaining and fun children will figure out what are the features of the broccoli, through Brocolin, and how, thanks to them, all the chopped vegetables become friends and become the best class of the entire college. This story is headed to the small of the house so that they understand the importance of healthy eating, including in your diet all kinds of fruits and vegetables.
